上棟式

2006/05/20、上棟式の日がやってきました。Ｍ様、この日を楽しみにしていました。私達もスタッフ一丸となってしっかりと準備をし、万全の体制でこの日を迎えることができました。しかし、心配なのはお天気。そんな心配無用と言わんばかりに、午前中は雲ひとつない良い天気。建て方作業もとても順調に進んだようで、私が現場に駆けつけた午前11：00頃には、ほとんど組み上がっていました。太さ６寸も有る大黒柱は、さすがに立派で迫力があり、Ｍ様もビックリしている様子。午後2：00には、建て方完了。
午後4：00から、最近では珍しい餅撒きをおこないました。ご近所の方も待ちきれずに、1時間前から待っている様子。しかし、なにやら雲行きが怪しくなり、ポツポツと雨が降ってきた。こちらも待ちきれずに、30分前に餅撒き開始。ところが、雨脚はさらに激しくなり大粒の雨が滝のようにボタボタと降ってきた。そんな中、ご近所さんがたくさん集まってきました。２階から餅を撒いている私達も、ご近所さん達も夢中でした。中には傘を広げて、大量にキャッチする奥様も。

上棟式が終わり、Ｍ様のご好意により私達や職人さんに、お酒とお食事が振舞われました。無事に上棟式が迎えられたことを喜ぶＭ様の言葉に、ずぶ濡れで冷えた体も温まる思いがしました。

実はこの日の1週間前にあたる5/14、上棟式予定でしたが天気予報が雨の為、延期しました。しかしこの5/14、雨が降りませんでした。5/20、地鎮祭に続いての雨、やはりこのＭ様邸は「雨降って地固まる」のでした。
